Farah Farz is a Singapore-based open-format DJ whose name has become synonymous with the local nightlife scene. Variety is her forte– her eclectic sound is a dynamic mashup of categories ranging from Hiphop, Rnb, House, Hard Dance, Throwbacks and more, reflecting her versatility in mixing sound that goes beyond genre and bravely challenges the status quo.

As an iconoclast in her industry, she is always abreast of trends and dishes out what’s currently capturing the eyes and ears of consumers. Sometimes, she is even a trend-setting trailblazer in the club– whether it’s an opening, main or closing set, you can count on her to send the crowd into mania, ushering in a night of fun and good tunes.

Since her debut in 2015, Farah’s skill has seen her perform at gigs all over Asia and destinations further beyond the continent, such as Australia and the Netherlands. Recent impressive feats of hers include achieving the Finalist position at the Queen of Mashups 2018, ranking #75 at DJANEMAG 2018 SEA & NZ Top 100, and clinching 3rd Runner-Up place at the Queen of Mashups 2019. In 2016, just one year after she got acquainted with the decks, Farah emerged #46 in the DJANEMAG 2016 SEA Top 50, a premonition that she would soon become the musical virtuoso she is today.

Some of the renowned brands she has worked with include DIOR, Yves Saint Laurent, Salvatore Ferragamo, Diane Von Furstenberg, Shanghai Tang, Sandro, Omega, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Farah’s foray into the industry was serendipitous. During her tertiary education days, she signed up for a program titled ‘Electronic Music Production’ as a result of missing a dance audition.

From then, it was this twist of fate, coupled with sparks of curiosity and flaming passion that paved the way for her career. Talent aside, it also was a unique fashion sense equal parts loud and stylish that helped to cement her identity. Hence, Farah’s delivery is a romance of both audio and visual elements that work to breathe life into the dance floor, setting it ablaze night after night. When she takes stage, expect hard-hitting beats, melodious grooves and colourful graphic elements.

In 2018, Farah took the leap and established herself as an independent DJ. Having initially spent the first 3 years of her profession signed to an agency, new adventures sprang to mind:

To produce her own original music and push boundaries– and in 2019, this came to fruition in the form of her first single, “Do the Grapevine”, that was released in 2020. Since then, four other tracks came in tow, and she is committed to publishing many more singles and remixes in time to come.

In the same year, Farah landed her first commissioned work with global brand G-SHOCK. Together, they collaborated on a track for a campaign called “Made Not Born”. Following this in 2022, she had the opportunity to DJ for Jackson Wang’s exclusive merchandise launch and was also the opening DJ for the Singapore leg of Alan Walker’s tour.

Farah was honoured to be the only local DJ to perform for Don’t Let Daddy Know 2023 Countdown, also popularly known as DLDK, festival held in Singapore. If you are an EDM fan, you would know that it is one of the world’s leading EDM festivals that originated from Amsterdam.

With a deep love and natural aptitude for her craft, Farah’s talent and infectious ebullience has earned her the reputation of being one of Singapore’s most sought-after female hip-hop DJs– even outside the club! She also receives a lot of bookings to play for luxury brands and high-profile corporate events.

Ravers, it’s time to stay tuned and get your hype on. Farah Farz is not one to be missed.
