Peter Ang a.k.a. DJ Skang, veteran in the local entertainment scene with an experience spanning 3 decades, has been involved in every aspect as an Emcee, a DJ, and a Club Manager.
One of his first club residency was at Legends in the late 80s, the club “to be seen” back then where local celebrities frequented. Notable residencies in the 90s include Rascals at Pan Pacific Hotel, Hotline Fun Pub at Cuscaden Road, Chinoiserie at The Grand Hyatt, Chinois Chinois at Orchard Cineleisure (which won Runner-up for Nightspot of the Year to Zouk), and not to forget China Jump at CHIJMES, arguably one of the finest nightspots in the 90s.
In the new millenium, Skang took up residency at Embassy at The Esplanade before moving on to DXO (formerly Embassy at The Esplanade) under Quebec. This was a memorable period for Skang as he brought many positive changes to the musical set up and tutored numerous up and coming DJs.
In 2009, Skang brought his wealth of experience and unique style of music to Yello Jello. Influenced by prominent Rock & Roll acts like Led Zeppelin, U2, and Radiohead, Peter had no trouble fitting into Yello Jello’s contemporary R’n’P (Rock and Pop) theme.
In 2012, Skang was transferred to Aquanova from Yello Jello under the LifeBrandz umbrella of entertainment outlets in Clarke Quay and resident there till early 2015.
