Having been inherent to the underground house music culture since the mid- nineties Fred E’s innate zeal for music has gained everlasting momentum. Early appreciations for the sounds and influences of house and trance from Chicago, Berlin to Holland has drafted a framework for a focus on innovation and musical evolution. This approach to constant expansion of artistic sense has only been paired with his personal determination to expand head-on with the music itself. Having played in the top clubs and bars around the region, notably in Velvet Underground, Capital, Zouk, Ku de Ta, F Club, Suite 26, The Butter Factory, Hu’u Bar (Bali), Lune and Logo (Shanghai), Tank Establishment (Sydney), Revolver (Melbourne), Fred has also played with international DJs like John 00 Fleming, Stoneface & Terminal, Sean Tyas, Solarstone, Omnia, Rinaly and First State. Currently resonated as one of Singapore’s most circulated names in the trance nightlife circuit. The livelihood of his repertoire goes beyond the Australian and Southeast Asian clubs to even contributing soundscapes for luxury brands like Porsche Design, MAC Cosmetic, Ipa-Nima, I.T, improving his versatilities. Apart from gigs and shows, Fred is also the music director for the Merry Men Collective (The Mad Men Attic Bar, Pecking Order, The Merry Men Bar and The Men’s Room) and writes regularly for the music column of digital magazine- Elements. His music will unquestionably suit its venue – spanning across a large spectrum of open format styles for the happy hour bar to the potent peak hour club hits and anthems. His ability to adapt and read what the crowd wants is what makes Fred E who he is to this music. The embracer, the artisan and always the one giving back.
